A simple version of the Penrose Staircase.

First try, inspired by Esher's impossible figures.
Maybe already done by some user.

Excellent site; the figure library is especially inspiring.
Making irregular canvasses (that is, not rectangular) started
with one for Penrose's triangle and eventually led to my failing
a college painting class... the professor said they were novel,
but had no artistic merit. I said that's fine, some people just
can't wrap their heads around them: the whole class laughed and
the humiliation was never forgiven...
It didn't stop me from pursuing them, though!

Now you can create your own impossible figures with our impossible cube constructor. Just click on 'Create figure' to the right of the page. Remember, you need to be logged in to your Google account to create own figures.

You can see impossible figures of other authors by clicking on the link 'All cubic figures' to the right of the page.
